The Audubon Society of Jackson County, Michigan
Birdathon at Phyllis Haehnle Memorial Sanctuary
TBD date between May 18 and 25, 2026
For 24 hours!
The Jackson Audubon Society is raising a team of birders to participate in the Michigan Audubon Birdathon. This will be a 24-hour marathon birding event held at Haehnle Sanctuary. The goal is to count as many species on the property in one day as possible. This is a fundraising event for MA but Jackson will receive a portion of the donations generated by sponsors for each birder participating. This is open to birders of all experience.
The date is NOT set yet. At this time we are looking for participants as well as someone to coordinate the event and schedules for the day. Based on the registrations, we will select a day for the highest group participation.
If you'd like to join, coordinate, or have questions, please email jacksonaudubon@gmail.com before April 10. Include the dates (05/18 - 25) you will be available.
*** If you are interested in coordinating this event, let us know. ***
Haehnle is located at the intersection of Seymour Rd & Fairlane Dr, Grass Lake. The sanctuary is across the street.
